Mαρκος Βαμβακάρης - Ταξίμι Ζειμπέκικο


Ο θρύλος λέει μια φορά είχε στησει ένας αστυνομικός καρτέρι στον Μάρκο έξω απο το μαγαζί που έπαιζε, γιατι είχε πληροφορίες πως είχε πάνω του χασίσι. Ο Βαμβακάρης μόλις βγήκε απο το μαγαζί και καθώς περπάταγε προς το σπίτι του αντιλήφθηκε τον αστυνομικό, έβγαλε τον μπαγλαμά και άρχιζε να παίζει το ταξίμι. Έφτασε μέχρι την πόρτα του σπιτιού του παίζοντας και ο αστυνομικός δεν έκανε τίποτα.
Ο αστυνομικός δεν θέλησε να τον συλλάβει γιατί αν πέρναγε χειροπέδες στον Βαμβακαρή αυτό θα τον έκανε να σταματήσει να παίζει το ταξίμι. Μια από τις πολλές ιστορίες που συνοδεύουν αυτό το τραγούδι. Ένα από τα σημαντικότερα τραγούδια που γράφτηκαν ποτέ και για τους παλιούς ρεμπέτες κομμάτι ισάξιο του Εθνικού Ύμνου.

Aυτη η ιστορια ειναι πραγματικη,την εχω ακουσει κι εγω.Πανω σ αυτη τη μελωδια γραφτηκε και το ''ενας μαγκας στο βοτανικο'' στην αυθεντικη του μορφη.Οποιος ξερει το τραγουδι καταλαβαινει.

Από το άλμπουμ Jeopardy. Ένα από τα καλύτερα άλμπουμ που χω στην συλλογή μου. O συγχωρεμένος Adrian Borland (τραγουδιστής των Sound) είχε δηλώσει 18 χρόνια πριν εκείνη την αποφράδα απριλιάτικη μέρα του '99: «Σέβομαι την τελική πράξη του Ian Curtis (τραγουδιστής των Joy Division), απλά εγώ ποτέ δε θ'αντιδρούσα έτσι. Με φοβίζει το άγνωστο του θανάτου» Πέθανε με τον ίδιο τρόπο με τον Ian Curtis.
Σήμα κατατεθέν της συγκεκριμένης μπάντας αυτό το κομμάτι. Aρκετά κλειστοφοβικό κομμάτι. Οι Sound ποτέ δεν γίναν εμπορικοί και πετυχημένοι όπως οι Cure ή αλλες μπάντες του post-punk ή του new wave κινήματος και ας ήταν από τις καλύτερες μπάντες εκεί έξω. Στην Ελλάδα γνωρίζουν αρκετοί τους Sound και αυτό είναι πολύ καλό. Το συγκεκριμένο κομμάτι το ακούω σχετικά συχνά στο ράδιο
