Στην Εθνική Βιβλιοθήκη της Γαλλίας τα απομνημονεύματα του Καζανόβα

Τα απομνημονεύματα του θρυλικού Τζιάκομο Καζανόβα, που εθεωρείτο ότι είχαν χαθεί μετά το τέλος του Β' Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, αγόρασε η Εθνική Βιβλιοθήκη της Γαλλίας.
Την αγορά, ύψους επτά εκατ. ευρώ, χρηματοδότησε ιδιώτης δωρητής και η Βιβλιοθήκη ευελπιστεί να εκθέσει τα χειρόγραφα το φθινόπωρο του 2011.

Η Ιστορία της Ζωής μου -3.700 κιτρινισμένες από το χρόνο σελίδες- ανακαλύφθηκε μέσα σε δεκάδες κούτες, οι οποίες είχαν τοποθετηθεί σε χρηματοκιβώτιο λίγες μόλις μέρες πριν το βομβαρδισμό της Γερμανίας από τους Συμμάχους το 1945.

«Στη διάρκεια του Β' Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου βομβαρδίστηκε η Λειψία, αλλά οι κούτες ανακαλύφθηκαν στο υπόγειο της τράπεζας όπου φυλάσσονταν. Ήταν σε καλή κατάσταση» δήλωσε στο Reuters η έφορος της Βιβλιοθήκης, Μαρί-Λορ Πρεβόστ.

«Εκείνη την εποχή όλοι συγκινήθηκαν όταν βρέθηκαν τα χειρόγραφα. Ακόμη και ο Τσόρτσιλ ρώτησε αν διασώθηκαν μετά από το βομβαρδισμό» πρόσθεσε η ίδια.

Ο Καζανόβα ξεκίνησε να γράφει τα απομνημονεύματά του, ενώ εργαζόταν ως βιβλιοθηκάριος, το 1789. «Τα χειρόγραφα του Καζανόβα είναι η πιο σημαντική αγορά που έχει ποτέ κάνει η Βιβλιοθήκη. Και φυσικά είναι μία μεγάλη πολιτιστική κληρονομιά» δήλωσε ο διευθυντής της Βιβλιοθήκης, Μπρουνό Ρασίν.

Ο Καζανόβα περιγράφει τις ερωτικές του περιπέτειες στα χειρόγραφά του τα οποία τροποποιούσε διαρκώς μέχρι το θάνατό του το 1798.
«Είναι ένα από τα πιο πολυδημοσιευμένα έργα στον κόσμο με εκατοντάδες εκατοντάδων δημοσιεύσεις και... πάντα διορθωνόταν, απλοποιείτο, παραποιείτο (το έργο). Επομένως αυτό που είναι σημαντικό για εμάς είναι να βρούμε την αυθεντική αλήθεια» πρόσθεσε ο Ρασίν.

Είχα πάει στην Εθνική βιβλιοθήκη της Γαλλίας σε ένα ταξίδι μου με τη WorldVentures, πολύ όμορφη εμπειρία. Η βιβλιοθήκη της Γαλλίας και η Εθνική Πινακοθήκη του Λονδίνου, είναι 2 από τα ομορφότερα κτίρια (εσωτερικά και εξωτερικά) που έχω δει. Θυμάμαι είχα καθίσει τουλάχιστον 3,5 ώρες σε καθένα από αυτά.
