Στο σπίτι πάνω στο βουνό ζει ένας άνθρωπος καλός
τον βλέπουν όλοι και γελάνε και λένε πως είναι τρελός.
Μα κάποτε καθώς περνούσα από την πόρτα του μπροστά,
τον άκουσα που τραγουδούσε δυνατά:

Δε χρειάστηκε να το σκεφτώ πως ο καημένος ο τρελός
πονούσε για κάποια γυναίκα γι' αυτό και ζούσε μοναχός
κι αν είναι τώρα γερασμένος κι αν είν' τα μάτια του θολά,
με λίγη δύναμη που έχει σας τραγουδά:

Γράφω μεθυσμένα λόγια και τα κρύβω στα χαρτιά
του ονείρου τα ρολόγια κουδουνίζουν δυνατά

Ποιος έχει λόγο στην αγάπη ,ποιος να έχει την ευθύνη
για να του πω να σταματήσει, να μη με πονάει εκείνη
