Η Apple προσλαμβάνει ανώτατα στελέχη της βιομηχανίας ημιαγωγών ώστε να μπορεί να σχεδιάζει τα δικά της τσιπ για τα προϊόντα της, αποκαλύπτει η Wall Street Journal.Το ενδιαφέρον της εταιρείες εστιάζεται σε ολοκληρωμένα κυκλώματα πολλαπλών λειτουργιών για χρήση σε κινητά τηλέφωνα, αναφέρει η εφημερίδα επικαλούμενη πηγές που δεν κατονομάζονται.

Τα πρώτα τσιπ της Apple δεν αναμένονται πάντως πριν από το 2010 το νωρίτερο, διευκρινίζει το άρθρο.
Εκπρόσωπος της Apple επιβεβαίωσε την πρόσληψη του Μπομπ Ντρέμπιν, πρώην διευθυντή Πληροφορικής του τμήματος προϊόντων γραφικών της AMD, καθώς και του Ράζα Κοντούρι, ο οποίος κατείχε την ίδια θέση στην Advanced Micro Devices πριν από τον Ντρέμπιν.

Η Apple φέρεται να ελπίζει ότι με αυτή την κίνησή της θα εμπλουτίσει τα προϊόντα της με νέα χαρακτηριστικά, χωρίς να πρέπει μοιράζεται ευαίσθητες πληροφορίες για τα σχέδιά της με άλλους κατασκευαστές ημιαγωγών.

Πέρυσι, η εταιρεία εξαγόρασε την PA Semi, ειδικευμένη σε τσιπ χαμηλής κατανάλωσης, σε μια κίνηση η οποία σύμφωνα με αναλυτές θα μπορούσε να οδηγήσει σε βελτιώσεις των σειρών iPod, iPhone και Mac.
Μετά το δημοσίευμα, η μετοχή της Apple έκλεισε την Τετάρτη με άνοδο 1,24 δολαρίων στα 125,14 δολάρια.

Την apple τη φοβάμαι. Έχει δείξει ότι μπορεί να γίνει χειρότερη μονοπωλιακά από την Microsoft.
